Major LCS Team Promotion for Rayan 'Sniper' Shoura

One of North America's biggest talents in 'League of Legends', Rayan 'Sniper' Shoura, will reportedly be a part of a major LCS team in 2024 as a starting player. 'Sniper' is presently a part of the Challengers team for 100 Thieves, and he will supposedly get a significant promotion as per the information revealed in a report.

Replacing Kim 'Ssumday' Chan-ho

If the elevation to the core team happens, the 16-year-old 'Sniper' will be replacing the Korean player Kim 'Ssumday' Chan-ho. Ssumday had only returned to 100 Thieves recently, in May, after a five-month tenure with Evil Geniuses.

Rayan 'Sniper' Shoura holds a commendable reputation as one of the most promising young talents in North America. He is recognised for his achievement of reaching rank 1 in Challenger at the youngest age ever. Sniper had signed a contract with Cloud9 as a fourteen-year-old in 2020, which had to be revoked hours later as he hadn't met Riot's minimum age requirement.

Joined in November 2021, right after his fifteenth birthday, Sniper played on the amateur team, namely, '100 Thieves Next' before bagging a place in their Challengers squad which concluded at 5th-6th place in the 2023 Spring Split.

Uncertainty Around 100 Thieves Future Structure

Although 100 Thieves have yet to disclose their plans for the upcoming year, a shift towards a new structure is predicted after a year of disappointment that fell short of the excitement brought by the reunion of Søren ‘Bjergsen’ Bjerg and Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng. The Danish mid laner, Bjergsen, decided to retire post securing the 5th-6th position in the Spring, with the team later ending up at 7th-8th position in the Summer. When it comes to Doublelift's future with 100 Thieves, it is still uncertain while he has declared his intention to compete in the LCS next year.
