Call of Duty Mobile's freshly unveiled map has ignited discussions due to its resemblance to the popular Fortnite location, Mega City, causing a controversy in the gaming community.
The new map, named Kurohana Metropolis, will be added along with a raft of new weapons, grenades, operators, and modes during the launch of COD Mobile's Season 8 on September 6. The season, dubbed 'Error 404', presents Kurohana Metropolis as a new sci-fi-themed multiplayer map, featuring a vibrant downtown environment with striking, Japanese-inspired lights evocative of Tokyo.
However, soon after the map's disclosure, players of Fortnite identified its likeness to the widely cherished Fortnite POI, Mega City, introduced to the Battle Royale game in March 2023. This resulted in some players accusing Call of Duty Mobile of copying Fortnite's Mega City.
