The holiday season came and went with no resolution to the save issues plaguing Baldur's Gate 3's Xbox Series X/S players. Fortunately, the game's developer, Larian Studios, came up with a solution, although it does require getting used to.

In a post on the official Larian Studios Twitter channel, they shed light on the persistent save issues on Xbox Series X/S. To bypass these issues, they recommended activating the cross-platform saving feature within the game itself.

To implement this workaround, players need to create an account on the Larian website. After this, they should go to the 'Options' setting in the main menu of Baldur's Gate 3. Under the 'Gameplay' tab, they would select the 'cross-saves' option while also syncing their Larian and Xbox accounts.

Once these steps are followed, the most recent five saves will be uploaded to the Larian servers through cloud saving for each player. Should the bug rear its head again, gamers will need to reactivate the cross-save feature in Baldur's Gate 3, allowing them to recover the most recent saves.

The necessity of this workaround is regrettable, but it nonetheless serves as a means to sidestep the save deletion issue. Given that Baldur's Gate 3 is an extensive game with multiple formidable boss battles, having a way to secure game saves is a relief to players.
