Larian Studios Announces Crossplay for Baldur's Gate 3
Developers at Larian Studios have disclosed good news for Baldur’s Gate 3 players. They announced plans to introduce the crossplay feature that will allow gamers to get together across different platforms, including consoles and PC. However, they have not confirmed any specific date as they are still fixing a few things.

Larian Studios have been quite active lately, sharing interesting updates about their plans. In one instance, Director Swen Vincke expressed that he was not ruling out the possibility of a level 13-20 experience. He also hinted at plans for developing the next game.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Michael Douse, the Director of Publishing at Larian Studios, discussed the possibility of crossplay in Baldur’s Gate 3. He further explained that they had always planned on giving crossplay. However, they didn't want to commit to a date until they were sure and had thus avoided discussing it at launch.
Game Release on Different Platforms
Ever since the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC in August, the game has been successful, reaching new heights with the recent September release on PS5. The expected release on Xbox is delayed due to problems with implementing split-screen on Series S, but the studio has announced intentions to release the game on Xbox in 2023.
In the end, prayers of those gamers who wanted to play on both console and PC will be answered. Larian’s plans solidify the possibility of crossplay for Baldur’s Gate 3. Though we may have to wait, it's confirmed that players on PC, PS5, and eventually Xbox will be able to journey through the Forgotten Realms together.
The likelihood is high that Larian Studios will shift their focus to crossplay shortly after the Xbox release. The cross-save feature in Baldur's Gate 3 enables players to switch from PC to console without any hurdles.
